PABLO CASTRO ALONSO

Pablo Castro received his PhD in industrial engineering related to high temperature measurements and heat transfer processes at the University of Valladolid in 2011. His areas of expertise are computational fluid dynamics and numerical heat transfer, renewable energies and energy efficiency. He collaborates with several National Metrology Institutes like the National Physical Laboratory of UK (NPL), National Institute of Metrology of China (NIM) or the National Metrology Center of Spain (CEM). He has presented his research in more than 12 international conferences and worked in 12 research projects, three of them from the EURAMET (European Association of National Metrology Institutes) and included in the European Metrology Research Programme (EMRP). He is also author of 10 journal papers related to the improvement of the International Temperature Scale (ITS-90) at high temperatures. In 2011 he joined at the Electrical and Energy Engineering Department of the University of Cantabria where he currently works as PhD assistant lecturer.
